24 days agoIt's completely natural to feel anxious about both treatment options, and many cancer patients find themselves weighing the concerns about surgery versus chemotherapy. The fear around chemo is very common, but both treatments have come a long way in terms of managing side effects and improving outcomes. It's encouraging that you're advocating strongly for yourself to get the MRI scheduled sooner - being your own best advocate is so important in cancer care, and getting timely imaging will help your medical team make the best treatment recommendations for your specific situation.

20 days agoHi Honni - I just finished chemo late January 2026. I had Invasive Ductal Carcinoma Stage 1, Grade 3. Had a lumpectomy and thought radiation was needed to prevent a reoccurrence down the road. I thought and was told by the surgeon that it would just be radiation, but my oncotype score (31) indicated they recommend chemo. Yes, it was scary and I hesitated momentarily whether I would do it or roll the dice. Well I did it - 4 rounds. My imagination was worse than the reality. But everyone is different and react differently to the chemo. I did a Very Long post recently on this website covering my journey and suggestions on how to counter side effects told to me by my oncologist that were very helpful during my 4 cycles. If you get a chance please read it and perhaps it can help. Bless you on your journey, and if you have any questions on my post, please let me know.
