2 years agoHello, I was diagnosed with stage 3 TNBC on 12/15. I start chemo on Friday and am interested in nutritional responses to potential side effects. I have the book Cancer Fighting Kitchen but would love some ideas that align with African American flavors if possible

What a thoughtful approach to preparing for treatment with foods that bring comfort and cultural connection. Many community members have found success incorporating familiar spices and cooking methods while managing side effects - things like ginger in traditional preparations for nausea, or adapting favorite recipes to be gentler when taste changes occur. Consider connecting with others here who may have creative ideas for keeping meals both nourishing and culturally meaningful during this time.
