8 months agoCan anyone tell their experience with kisqali. I just started taking today and am a bit nervous about side effects. What side effects have any of you had using this medication. Any info would be greatly appreciated.🙂

Starting a new medication can feel overwhelming, and these feelings are completely understandable. Many community members have shared their Kisqali experiences here, and connecting with others who understand this journey can provide valuable insights and reassurance. The side effects people experience can vary quite a bit from person to person, so hearing different perspectives from fellow thrivers in this community might help you know what to watch for and how others have managed their treatment.

6 months agoI’m stage 4 MBC and just completed my first two months of Kisquali. I had no noticeable side effects, always taking the medication after I had eaten some breakfast. My effects are in my blood counts. Drops in both red and white counts are expected, your Doc will tell you if tests show it dropping too far. They watch for effects on your liver too. Kisquali’s program is three weeks of pills then one week off. I’m starting that week now for the second time. I didn’t notice any physical difference between the weeks. I guess my body is handling it ok. I’m also on anastrozole too. I was very nervous before starting also. Just be sure you have eaten something with the meds.

6 months agoPatricia P Thanks for the response and how your journey is going being on this meditation. I am on my 3rd day and so far and not feeling any different. I am also taking Anastrozole. My doctor has me scheduled to get bloodwork done in about 2weeks. I am at peace with my decision to ensure that I do all I can to keep my DCI at bay. Had a double mastectomy back in November 2024.

6 months agoHey Carla! I was on lynparza for a year with anastrazole. I ran out of that a couple of weeks ago and I will be starting kisqali on April 7th when I see my oncologist again. I had my last treatment for stage 2 bc a year ago now. I am also brca2 positive. I had a double mastectomy 2 years ago and turns out some cancer was left in my left axillary nodes so I then started chemo and all that.. terrified of my odds of recurring but I'm taking my meds and hoping for the best.. I hope you're well today. Take care

5 months agoUpdate-I’m now starting month six of Kisqali and Anastrozole. My bloodwork is satisfactory. I’m walking 5,000-7,000 steps daily, shopping, gardening and doing water aerobics. Doc says I’m an A+ patient. My quality of life is almost normal. That’s the goal of the medications, to be living, not just alive.
