Hello my name is Robin and I have stage 3 lung cancer. I live in Vegas and I'm here alone. I start chemo and radiation on Aug 14th. I get my port on Aug 12th. I have to find someone to pick me up from the radiology clinic. Does anyone know of a service that does that?

Transportation to cancer treatment can be challenging, especially when navigating appointments alone. Las Vegas offers several ride services for medical appointments, including the American Cancer Society's Road to Recovery program, local cancer centers that may provide shuttle services, and rideshare programs specifically for medical needs. Many community members here have faced similar transportation challenges and may have helpful suggestions about local resources that have worked well in the Las Vegas area.

Hi Robin! Ck with social services, I’m in California I used a company called GetAbout they are a door to door service $1.00 each way. There are other services like dial A ride I don’t know what’s available in your area. Good luck! I hope this helps!🙏

Check with American Cancer Society and if you are employed check with your company's EAP. Some companies have cancer care services that can help with transportation costs.
