Today I had a diagnostic mammogram and an ultrasound done. They found fluidšŸ‘€, they say this is normal, but I want to know has anyone else experienced this. Tomorrow I have an appt for a CT Simulation. I just want to start the damn radiation so this will be over🫣

Finding fluid during imaging can understandably cause concern, even when doctors explain it's normal. Many community members have shared similar experiences with unexpected findings during routine scans, and it's completely natural to seek reassurance from others who've been through similar situations. Wishing you strength as you move forward with your radiation planning - connecting with others here who understand this journey can provide valuable support and perspective.

Not sure how old you are. I am 68 years old and still have fluid in my breast and that is normal. They will do followup ultrasound and fine needle aspirations to make sure there are no other issues. Even with cancer suspect the Dr usually will not start chemotherapy or radiation until up to 60 days after diagnosis. They usually give patients time to pursue a second opinion and for them to be sure about what they want. Usually the prognosis does not change much within 60 days.I wish you patience and a great outcome. God bless.

Thank you so much for responses. I am actually having my 2nd treatment today. As you both mentioned the fluid doesn’t seem to be of much concern. After my first treatment I felt a since of relief. Guess I’m just a little anxious. The great news is that I only need 5 treatments šŸ™ŒšŸ½
