I’m told that hair relaxers may have caused my cancer. I’m worried.

Research has shown potential links between certain chemical hair relaxers and increased cancer risk, particularly uterine cancer, so your concerns are completely understandable. While this connection is still being studied, what matters most right now is getting the best possible care and support for your current situation. Consider discussing these concerns with your oncology team, as they can provide personalized guidance based on your specific diagnosis and medical history.

I was a hair stylist for over 60 years, before being diagnosed with stage 3B lung cancer. My speciality was color. Also relaxers, cold waves, ect. So im not sure how I developed cancer.
