a year agoGood evening my pink sisters. I ask currently on Anastrazole/Arimidex for prevention. It feels like my right hip and leg is starting to get a lot more stiff than usual. My right foot feels swollen because my sock feels tight however, it isn’t visually swollen. Anyone else experiencing this? What are you doing to relieve the pain? I’m taking Duloxetine and Claritin with no relief.
Accepted Answer
Joint pain and stiffness are commonly reported side effects that many people experience while taking anastrozole, so you're definitely not alone in dealing with these symptoms. Many community members have found relief through gentle movement like walking or swimming, warm baths, stretching, and discussing pain management options with their healthcare team - it would be worth bringing up these new symptoms at your next appointment to explore additional strategies that might work better for your situation.

6 months agoThat is what evolved into tenosinusitis... a side effect to AIs- mine worsened and ultimately caused trigger thumb so I stopped the AIs altogether...

6 months agoGood morning, just joining this group . I am 68 years old , I know that Anastazole had to be discontinued , my oncologist said it could cripple me with all the side effects it was causing for me. I have been on Exemestane for almost 4 years now and no side effects that I can point my finger on. I was also fortunate to be able to get on Kisqali as a trial medicine for three years which I completed in March of last year. It has been approved by the FDA for management of metastatic breast cancer.
