Hello everyone, I was diagnosed with TNBC last year. I finished chemo in January and radiation in March. Since finishing radiation, I have been having internal breast pain. My radiologist ordered an ultrasound. The only thing that they saw, other than were target spot for radiation, was calcification, where I had my lumpectomy. Is anyone else having severe breast pain after radiation??

Post-radiation breast pain is a concern many people share in this community, and it's encouraging that you're staying proactive by working with your radiologist and getting the ultrasound done. While everyone's healing journey looks different, connecting with others who have walked similar paths can provide valuable insights and emotional support during recovery.

I had pain off and on for about 6 months after radiation but not severe. Sometimes felt like a sore muscle.

Lymphedema therapy helps as the swelling is a little better since I started and I take gabapentin at night at bedtime really helps a lot was prescribed by my radiation oncologist first and then by medical oncologist.

I also have to wear a compression bra as well it helps both swelling and pain.

I agree with compression, I also read that Apha Lipoic Acid can help.

I use heat and compression but it doesn’t really help!

Thank you all. I am going to see my surgeon on the 5th. Hopefully, she can give me some answers. I'm tired of taking prescription pain pills every 4 to 6 hours and not really getting any relief.

I finished treatment three years ago and still experience breast pain. I try to avoid sleeping in my left side; but continue to experience pain.
