There are several resources that can help cover cancer treatment costs when insurance options are limited. Many hospitals have financial assistance programs or charity care that can significantly reduce bills, and pharmaceutical companies often offer patient assistance programs for expensive medications. Cancer-specific organizations like the American Cancer Society, CancerCare, and local cancer centers frequently provide grants or can connect patients with additional funding sources. Reaching out to a hospital social worker or financial counselor can be especially helpful - they know the specific programs available in your area and can guide you through applications for various forms of assistance.

6 months agoAdditional information Oncology social workers understand the issues about insurance that make obtaining treatment even more difficult. Call 800-813-HOPE (4673) and speak with a CancerCare professional oncology social worker who can help you explore your insurance options. They can help navigate these resources and help in other ways.
