It's completely natural to feel concerned when tumor marker numbers change, even by small amounts. While these fluctuations can be worrying, small changes like this can happen for various reasons and aren't always significant - your oncologist is the best person to interpret these results in the context of your overall health and treatment history. Many community members have shared similar concerns about marker changes, and connecting with your care team for personalized guidance can help put these numbers in proper perspective.

Hi June H, I'm on my 10th dose of Topotecan. I was diagnosed with stage 4 Uterine Carcinosarcoma, a rare and aggressive form of cancer in 2023. My tumors markers #'s were also concerning for me. Speak to your oncologist about the marker # and things that can make it rise.

I’m on topotecan and avastin cycle 11 for peritoneal cancer. Stage 3c diagnosed in June 2023. Take 3 doses a month on topotecan and 2 doses of avastin a month. I’ve tried many other things till they quit working or had a bad reaction or was platinum resistant. I have outlived the estimated time I had been given when first diagnosed by almost double so far. Never have been cancer free since diagnosis. Not in organs but in lymph nodes.
