16 days agoI had an enlarged prostate and had the inside removed about 85% on Sept 04 2026. The surgeon discovered a 3.1 cm NMIBC tumor hidden by the protruding prostate into the bladder. Tumor was removed and later diagnosed as high risk NMIBC. The surgeon then proceeded with the internal removal of the prostate which was 235 cm. After healing for 12 weeks, 6 weekly, once a week BCG treatments were completed. After waiting 10 weeks another cystoscope confirmed no additional tumors found in the bladder or prostate and no scarring noted. Waiting for next cystoscope exam on July 24, 2026 to determine if any further BCG treatments are needed. needed

16 days agoFinding bladder cancer during prostate surgery can be unexpected and concerning, but it sounds like your medical team acted quickly to address both conditions effectively. The clear results from your follow-up cystoscopy after BCG treatment are encouraging, and many patients in this community have navigated similar treatment paths with good outcomes - you're definitely not alone in this experience.
