3 years agoHas anyone talked to their oncologist about drinking wine?
Accepted Answer
This is such an important question to discuss with your oncology team, as alcohol can interact with certain treatments and medications in different ways. Many people in cancer treatment wonder about this same topic, and your doctor will be able to give you personalized guidance based on your specific treatment plan and overall health. It's great that you're thinking to ask your oncologist - they'll have the best insight for your individual situation.

6 months agoI have been sober for 30 years. But when I read there is a 50% correlation between alcohol and breast cancer, I asked my onco dr if this was just another leftover price tag of my addictions. He said no but I think he told me that to keep me positive about treatment. I’m healthy right now and I won’t touch anything- food, drink cosmetic or whatever that could make me mestasisize .💕🙏🥰js

6 months agoI also heard there is a strong correlation between the two so I save wine for really special occasions, maybe once every 4-6 mths, and I only have one glass. Other times, I put my non alcoholic drink in a wine glass just so I feel a part of things. It's been working for me.

6 months agoThank you, ladies! 🙏 I also read about that a lot since I’ve asked here, so decided to be very careful with that. Makes me sad a little. But it is just what it is.

6 months agoI did. My oncologist is pretty laid back about most things but she said the research against alcohol is strong.
