2 years agoJust asking how long does it take to have a port put in?
Accepted Answer
Port insertion is typically an outpatient procedure that usually takes about 30-60 minutes to complete. The timing can vary based on factors like the type of port being placed and individual circumstances, so it's helpful to ask your medical team what to expect for your specific situation and whether there are any prep steps needed beforehand.

7 months agoI had mine put in during mastectomy. However, I have read several times that it’s a quick procedure! Good luck!!

7 months agoMine was put in one week after diagnosis and took less than an hour, beginning to end. And I was awake the whole time.

7 months agoIt's a very quick procedure; if I remember right, it took less than an hour for the actual procedure. You have to add in some time for preparation.
