Today is just a horrible day- emotionally; I went off on my 14 yr old daughter this morning over something stupid and have been feeling horrible all day about it. My partner doesn’t understand my pain and gets on me to do something with my time during the day every day!! I’m in pain all in the right side today I just want to scream and cry and I don’t know break something cuz I’m having that bad of a day. Been seen by 2 drs and both say no surgery and I have stage 4 Mets both breast both lungs, right arm pit lymph nodes, sternum spine , pelvis, femurs. I’m so tired of nothing being done but hormone blockers !!! I want to feel like something is being done or that there is a sense of urgency because right now I don’t feel like anyone cares because I’m 37 and still have my whole life to fight this so no need to do anything!! Ok rant over thanks for letting me vent

What you're experiencing sounds incredibly overwhelming, and it's completely understandable to feel frustrated when dealing with so much physical and emotional stress. Many people in this community know how exhausting it can be to advocate for yourself while managing treatment and family relationships. You deserve support and understanding during this challenging time, and venting here is exactly what this community is for - you're not alone in these feelings.

Is there an MD Anderson Cancer Center you could go to? I would get there.

Do you know why they say no surgery? What do they recommend?

I had a double mastectomy 4 years ago. My cousin is a life coach and told me about Chris Wark who is a cancer coach. chrisbeatcancer.com I bought his program and he is online to answer questions every month for 2 hours. I completely changed my diet but find it really hard to get the stress out of my life. His program gives me hope and I follow it as faithfully as I can. There are so many case studies of people getting well from advanced cancer by diet changes and my oncologist thinks I’m a marvel. However, I just lost a very close friend of 40 years when the cancer kept coming back and she refused to do the diet. She said it was too hard. I want to live. I adapted to the changes. Really healthy eating won’t hurt you but I hope it will save your life. God bless you!!!

Hi, Alexandria, please don't give up just because 2 doctors tell you the same thing. I read an article about a few weeks ago about immunotherapy helping a stage 4 Mets patient. There are new advances every day, don't give up hope!

Did you ask why they won’t operate ? I read that they only operate on mbc patients who are TP+ or TP- (can’t remember which one🤷‍♀️) because these are the hardest types of cancer to treat. There are less treatment options available for those patients. If you are one of these types please advocate for yourself and keep getting opinions!

@Kathleen- oh no I’m not TP, mine is ES &PS + HER2 - but because he says it’s in my lungs and bones that doing the surgery to remove the lump in my right breast wouldn’t do anything for me but cause me to have to be off treatment for 2 months and he said it’s not worth the risk

Show yourself some grace. There is only so much a human mind can absorb without breaking loose. Do some research on clinical trials that could be available through regional centers like Sloan Kettering, MD Anderson, Mayo Clinic, Johns Hopkins, Susan B Komen centers, National Cancer Institute, etc.
