Why can't I see messages someone is trying to send me?

I told my family doctor how down I am. Besides me having cancer my hubby has been in afib. We are both in our 80s. I see a counselor once every three months. there is a group from the hospital that will call me and talk and answer questions. Just ask. I have learned you have to ask. ❤️❤️💕
