2 years agosurgeon who performed lumpectomy labeled my cancer stage 0 since tumor was contained to the duct and did not spread. Oncologist said it is stage 2A because of the 3.2 cm size and labeled TNBC aggressive. Now i am doing 6 treatments of CMF chemo and then 20 radiation. To do a clean sweep for undetected cells. Anyone had same experience

Receiving different staging information from different doctors can understandably feel confusing and overwhelming. This type of situation does occur because doctors may focus on different aspects of the cancer characteristics when determining staging and treatment plans. Many community members have shared similar experiences where specialists viewed their diagnosis through different lenses based on various factors. Having a clear conversation with your medical team about how they arrived at their staging decisions can help provide clarity and peace of mind as you move forward with your treatment plan.
