6 months agoHello there ladies - I’ve been prescribed Letrozole and having anxiety taking this medication. Did anyone feel the same way?
Accepted Answer
Many community members have shared similar concerns about starting new medications and feeling anxious about potential side effects. It's completely understandable to have these feelings when beginning a treatment like letrozole, and discussing these experiences with others who have been through similar situations can be really helpful. Consider reaching out to your healthcare team if your anxiety continues, and hopefully others here will share their experiences to help you feel less alone in this journey.

6 months agoGood Morning. I started Letrozole 6 weeks ago with great anxiety. So far, I’ve had none of the bad things that others describe. A few hot flashes but I was having those all along. I have been working out treatment for painful peripheral neuropathy (PN) while dealing with my new cancer diagnosis. That process has gone very well and I truly feel better and more pain-free than any time in the past 3 years. Still anxious that Letrozole might deliver surprises but so far so good!!! My sincere best wishes to you and hopes that you will have an easy time like I have.

5 months agoI was on Letrozole for about 2 months, and I developed pain in joints and muscles. It was hard to even go upstairs. Enzymes in my liver went up. I was told to stop it. Will be meeting with my oncologist shortly to discuss. I had ILC 5mm, lumpectomy, once a week for 5 weeks radiation.

5 months agoI was on Letrozole and had joint pain, sick all the time, mood swings, and exhausted all the time to tears. My oncologist took me off of it for 3 weeks and started me on Anastrozole. Everything has improved, except for my joint pain. But I'm hoping it subsides in time. Maybe talk to your oncologist about Anastrozole. Couldn't hurt to ask. Prayers and hugs to you!

5 months agoI’ve been on Letrozole for a little over a year along with Verzenio. Both drugs have so many side effects. Since I am Stage 4 I’ll be on Letrozole for a lifetime. The Verzenio is causing lung issues so will probably be changed to something else. It is tolerable at best but still have lots of good days. I guess in a strange way I’m lucky so far
