How will I look after mastectomy? Scared about upcoming surgery

Hi Janet. I had a left breast mastectomy exactly 1 month ago today. I understand the worry. I was petrified of the surgery. But the thought of the cancer in my breast scared me more. I got thru it and am currently healing. Everyday you will feel a little better. Trust the process. I have been super emotional though during the healing process. I am sure its due to the surgery. Good luck to you. You will get thru it too. 💓

I have gotten thru the surgery it is not as bad as I thought ! Hopefully I won’t be to upset looking at myself with one breast as I am rather busty I am trying to prepare myself for seeing it .

I'm having a lumpesectomy Wed and I too am very nervous about it and have no idea what I am about to embark on. I KNOW it wont be easy. Feeling very much alone in all of this.. I am single and have no one to cry on. I've been an emotional wreck honestly. Suffering from so much depression.. Prolly due to menopause. Don't really know what it will look like after surgery. Radiation treatments for 6 weeks is what they tell me.. Not sure if I will have to do any chemo therapy. But I am just doing what I know how to do and that's lots of prayers and gratitude lists. And loving as I go. Trusting in Jesus Christ to be with me the way thru. 🙏👑💕
