2 years agoHere's another question submitted through our earlier survey: Breast Cancer Index, results were 3% effective with anastrozole. I have a 97% cure rate. Ive been on anastrozole for 7 years. oncologist advised me to stop anastrozole. I'm afraid. Diagnosed with HER-HR+, stage 1. Should I stop Anastrozole? Please Advise?

Making decisions about ending long-term treatment can feel scary, even when test results suggest it may be appropriate. This situation highlights how complex cancer care decisions can be, and it's completely understandable to feel uncertain about stopping a medication that has been part of your routine for so many years. Consider discussing your concerns thoroughly with your oncology team - they can explain the reasoning behind their recommendation and address your specific worries about stopping treatment.
