Good morning! This seems like an appropriate question for Coffee Corner. 😂 Hot drinks make my hot flashes worse! Please tell me someone has a solution to enjoying coffee and not becoming a puddle of sweat each morning?

Cold brew or iced coffee might be a great alternative to help you enjoy your favorite beverage without the added heat that can trigger those uncomfortable moments. Many people in similar situations have found success with cooling down their coffee routine or trying smaller, cooler portions throughout the day rather than one hot cup - hopefully others here will share what's worked for them!

Coffee didn’t bother mine but I found it really unfair I couldn’t have a hot flash when it was cold outside- only in summer😡

I was told Caffeine can make hot flashes worse so switched to mushroom coffee and cacao bliss - very yummy and the mushroom is an added health benefit.

I am going to assume they are from the aromatase inhibitors. They should get better over time. I only get night sweats. They are so bad that I actually take meds for them. If they don't get better, talk to your oncologist.

I was more concerned about revisiting the migraines I had in menopause but Thank God that didn’t happen. My wrists and fingers ache but then I have arthritis. I have a bit of urgency so I’d better be by a bathroom when kidneys call! Kegals don’t do anything for this frustratingly enough.

I take a DIM supplement. It's the chemical our bodies makes when we eat cruciferous vegetables. It has been studied in conjunction with tamoxifen but not with AI so I don't know how it would work with AI. it balances the types of estrogen. So it lowers the type that feeds cancer but raises another type that helps with menopause symptoms. My oncologist approved my taking it. Here is an article about it. https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/dim-supplement#basics

I read that hot drinks will cause worse hot flashes. Thank God I only drink one cup at breakfast time, but I haven’t started my hormone pills yet and I’m not looking forward to that for five years 😩

I drink only cold brew coffee! Every day over ice with milk & sugar. It is excellent and so smooth! I have a cold brew coffee maker so I can brew at home.
