Can radiation cause lung scarring and pleurisy years later?

First off I am so sorry and angry that you have this recurrence and that the Drs just brushed you off. I too have had targeted radiation and this is the first time I’ve heard about this! My doctors never told me about this at all! Maybe bc mine was targeted but still I believe patients should be informed about EVERYTHING about their treatments and after treatment information! I am frustrated that my doctors didn’t tell me what to expect they told me what they were going to do for my treatment plan but never informed me about after treatment and how I would feel and now this lung issue that you are experiencing! I have had to advocate for myself throughout my journey and thanks to the internet and this platform had to educate myself on what to expect. I think some doctors see you as a number and treat you with protocol and don’t look into your specific medical condition. It’s not one size fits all when it comes to any kind of cancer. I am so sorry after so long this is happening to you and I’m sorry that you were not heard but Thank you for sharing your story not only was it brave you educated me about something I didn’t know about!
