My son just gifted me coffee infused with ground mushrooms and wants me to replace my Dunkin’ habit with this. 🙄 He watched a documentary called Fantastic Fungi and now believes I need to be consuming them daily. Help. Me.

It's sweet that your son cares about your health, even if his timing after watching that documentary feels a bit overwhelming! While mushroom coffee has gained popularity, there's no need to completely overhaul habits that bring you comfort during treatment. Many people in the community find that small changes work better than big switches, and keeping some familiar routines can be really important for emotional well-being too.

I add lion's mane powder to my coffee. Supposed to help with nerve regeneration. 🤷

True mushrooms are healthy but my oncologist said they’re a nono with hormone therapy - FYI

I am using the supplement capsules with the same fungi as the coffee contains and I have noticed I do feel better with less pain, less brain fog and a better mood. I found them on Amazon.

Please discuss this with your doctor. Many of these supplements are great, but can severely interfere with your treatment.

I’m into it too! Very informative and inspiring. I’m now drinking mushroom coffee and taking mushroom supplements. We’ve been given these natural resources so I’m taking advantage of them along with my cancer treatments! Be present and take part in your healing💞. God bless all fighting this battle 💞💞

I have triple negative breast cancer and don’t use hormones for this type so mushroom supplements won’t interfere

I also watched the documentary. My oncologist gave me the green light to the mushroom. Patel thought it was a great idea but just wanted me to stay away from antioxidants. I take letrozole 2.5 mg. There is a study out that in the study 87% of mbc patients that used antioxidants there cancer came back. Soursop is also is a type of antioxidant.

Oh. So no soursop tea then? I was drinking that. My cancer is single tumor hormone positive her 2 negative. Not mbc

I have family members who are sure they know best. Their favorites are sugar feeds cancer, which John Hopkins says is a myth and Keto. I have heard for years how too much red meat is bad for you. It's kind of crazy. So many myths and fads.
