I was just diagnosed with triple negative stage three C breast cancer. I have had my first chemo treatment. Wondering if it’s normal to feel so much breast pain, tenderness redness and swelling. I literally feel like since I was diagnosed my breast has gotten a lot bigger. I feel like the cancer is growing by the day. I’m scared.

It's completely understandable to feel scared when experiencing new symptoms after a cancer diagnosis and starting treatment. Changes in breast appearance and sensations can happen for various reasons during cancer treatment, and these concerns are definitely worth discussing with your medical team right away. Your oncologist and nurses are the best resources to evaluate what you're experiencing and provide guidance specific to your situation. Many others in this community have navigated similar fears and uncertainties - you're not alone in this journey, and reaching out here shows real strength.

I am on my last chemo treatment tomorrow and have not had that experience at all. Talk with your care team ASAP. Good luck and fight on warriors 🙏🏻

I'm sorry you are going through that. Definitely mention those symptoms to your oncologist. Before my 2cm lump was removed, I could feel it growing (no pain, though). I had a mastectomy before I started chemo, I did have pain, but I always tied it back to the surgery. Now that I am in radiation, I have redness, pain and swelling again they are checking to be sure there is no infection.
