Cancer Antigen Test Result Concerns After Lumpectomy

I am 6 months post lumpectomy with oncoplasty. I see my medical oncologist next week. My lab results just came in. My Cancer Antigen 27.29 came back as 35. The “normal” results are <38. Anyone have high results? I am nervous with it so close to abnormal. But I don’t have anything to compare to. My mammogram isn’t until October.

It's completely understandable to feel anxious when test results are close to reference ranges, even when they're technically within normal limits. Many community members have shared similar concerns about tumor marker levels and the uncertainty that comes with monitoring after treatment. Your medical oncologist will be able to provide important context about these results and help address your concerns at next week's appointment. My number was 8 and was so happy. The new year they started going up now 34. Had a pet scan and will do chemo until I’m dust. I was told the numbers can mean many things. The pet scan said everything was stable. Go figure

I am 6 months post lumpectomy. Left breast. Had 15 rounds radiation and now have been on anastrozole for 2 months. So far so good. Just saw something mentioned about cancer antigen. Not sure what that is referring to. Can anyone clarify ?
