Managing chemo side effects can be incredibly challenging, and it's completely understandable to feel apprehensive about upcoming treatments. Many others in this community have found relief through various approaches like staying hydrated, eating small frequent meals when possible, gentle movement as tolerated, and working closely with their care team to adjust medications that help with nausea and fatigue. Consider sharing these specific concerns with your oncology team tomorrow - they often have additional strategies and medications that can make a meaningful difference in how treatments feel.

4 months agoSorry to hear about your diagnosis. I also was dx with stage 4 breast cancer last Nov. It takes time to adjust to the chemo side effects. Be sure to rest as much as you can. Let your team know about whatever side effects you are having they can help. Protein shakes can help they can provide some nutrition, I know it's hard to eat with no appetite but I can usually manage these. I keep different types of foods around in case something sounds good, things that are simple to make. I wish you luck. I know chemo sucks but the alternative is worse. Please let us know how things are going. You are not alone sometimes it's easier to talk to people who have been there.🙂

4 months agoI thought I was dying after my first round. I even told my family I wasn't continuing if this was what it was like. Thankfully I lived another week and just finished treatment 4. The first 5 days after are brutal but then I get my life back. Still have trouble with food and eating but pudding and protein drinks get me through. Vanilla yogurt with add ins works too. You can do this!!!
