These overwhelming emotions after treatment can be incredibly difficult to navigate, and many survivors experience similar feelings during this transition period. The end of active treatment often brings unexpected emotional challenges as the body and mind adjust to a new normal, and reaching out to your care team or a counselor who specializes in survivorship can provide valuable support during this time.

I'm sorry you are feeling this way. I've been crying a lot today too. I know depression can happen to survivors, and I know it may be time to look into therapy. If I keep feeling this way I will look into it, maybe it would be helpful for you.

Question has anyone developed high cholesterol since they were diagnosed with cancer. I never had high cholesterol until I got cancer

Peggy letrozole says can raise it. I will need to have mine monitored. Not sure if you’re on that or not

I'm the same way I feel like it all just went by so fast but was so horrible and I'm finally able to let my mind really process what just happened and even though I'm cancer free I kinda don't feel like it with all the medication and the labs I still have to go through sometimes I think I have ptsd from my journey but I do know that it's OK not to be ok sometimes

I feel the same way. Before my cancer diagnosis I felt as though I could do/go anywhere. Now (11 months later) after surgery and radiation, I’m fearful all the time (life, travel, and health).

Kimberly this probably won’t sound right but I’m soooo glad there’s plenty of cancer sisters that feel the same way.. we are not alone in our journey and struggles that come with a cancer diagnosis and survivors feelings. May God give us all the strength to live our lives to the fullest.

Peggy, my hormone blocker, Letrozole, has this as a side effect. But it shot up to 255 and stabilized. The dr said it will go back to normal when I’m done with it. It keeps my beasties from feeding off estrogen and progesterone which my cancer has at 98%, so I have to take it but I’m healthy at least so not complaining at 72/21@💕

I just started letrozole yesterday, I’m scared waiting for all the side effects to kick in. Surgery and radiation wasn’t bad. But I do fear this medication for some reason. I fear I’ll become a change person personality wise, moody, unlikeable, crying all the time. I hope and pray this dosen’t happen. Is there anything out there to prevent this from happening.

Kimberly I’m 18 months post surgery. Before surgery I was very active. Now I don’t seem to have the confidence I once had and fearful at times. You’re post really helped me cause I know I’m not alone

If you are on letrzole, please talk to you dr. Letrozole has many side effects. One of these is depression. For me, the depression only got worse, and I went down a dark black rabit hole until I no longer felt like living.
