Suspected invasive lobular with a 3 cm mass. Suspected positive in axillery lymph nodes. Had the biopsy today. Hoping for best possible news such as stage 2 at this point. What should I be expecting?

Waiting for biopsy results can feel overwhelming, especially when facing the unknown. Many people in this community have found it helpful to prepare a list of questions for their medical team ahead of the results meeting, including asking about next steps regardless of the outcome. The days between biopsy and results are often the hardest part, so connecting with others here who understand this journey can provide valuable support and perspective during this challenging time.

I’m so sorry! I have mILBC (metastatic invasive lobular breast cancer. First diagnosis was 2011 had bilateral mastectomy, it was only in the left breast. Then I was on an aromatase inhibitors for seven years. Then in 2023 thought I had appendicitis turned out to be the cancer returned to my appendix, my peritoneal cavity, on my adhesions in the abdomen and on my omentum. Just last month I had an EGD and they found it in my stomach also. The gastrointestinal doctor was shocked she never heard of such a thing. I’m glad they caught it. It’s hard to detect because it grows in single file, doesn’t make lumps. Check out ILBC web site a lot of good information . Prayers and love to you. Stay tuff

I also had invasive lobular breast carcinoma with several masses, largest 2.5 cm, it was also in my lymph nodes. I lost my left breast. I had reconstruction surgery 3 months later. The waiting is the hardest but take it one day at a time and stay positive. Breast cancer today has come a long way. God bless you.🙏

I have evasive lobular Breast carcinoma. Had MRIs and CT scans , biopsy. All showed something different because this kind is tricky had a double mastectomy. It was only in my left breast and two nodes, but it was spread out through my whole breast. My Onco score was good and everything else was great but because of the size and it being in my lymph nodes, I will be starting chemo next Wednesday having five months of chemo six weeks of radiation and 10 years of hormone therapy.
