Why is my mastectomy surgery taking 3 months to schedule?

21 days agoHave a question. I had a biopsy the lend of June. Then I saw oncologist-and surgeon- plastics in July. I had blood tests and Pet scan in August also saw oncologist. My nurse navigator informed surgeon as to my choice of single mastectomy no implant. They were suppose to schedule my surgery. Today I get an appt for the 24th for nuclear medicine for Sept 24 and a nurse practitioner on Oct 1 Is this normal waiting so long to get the mastectomy. That will be 3 months. I’m worried the cancer will spread!

20 days agoPlease do not wait! Find another Dr. asap. The time from biopsy is a concern. It happened to me.
