Hi everyone. I am going through my first round of chemotherapy (day 4) for hers+. Can anyone please recommend what to do to manage side effects such as hot flashes and fatigue and by when do you start feeling with more energy? Thank you!

Starting chemotherapy can bring many challenges, and it's completely natural to wonder about managing side effects and when energy levels might improve. Many community members find that connecting with others who share similar experiences can provide valuable insights about coping strategies that have worked for them - consider sharing what approaches you try and asking others about their experiences with managing these common treatment effects.

You can try effexor for flashes. Fatigue varies I have had it since 2019.

Hello, Hydration in the form of IV, while getting chemo helped me with fatigue for a short period. But my overall fatigue even after my chemo was done lasted a couple of years. I tried fueling my body with foods and vitamins, but it didn't work. The only thing I didn't do was exercise, but I just didn't have the energy for it. I couldn't understand why such fatigue, and I used to ask the doctors what I could do about it, but they were no help. Eventually, one day, I just noticed I no longer had the fatigue. That fatigue is REAL and extreme. I didn't do anything about the hot flashes. It was like, ok, which issue do I focus on. Good luck with everything 💕

Effexor did not work for my hot flashes, but it did help my mood. Veozah really helped my hot flashes. I'm 55 stage 4 triple positive.
