16 days agoI’m currently in the beginning stages of planning treatment. It’s all so overwhelming.

16 days agoTreatment planning can feel incredibly daunting, especially when facing so many decisions and new information all at once. Many community members find it helpful to take things one step at a time, write down questions for their care team, and lean on support from others who understand this journey - you're definitely not alone in feeling this way.

13 days agoIt is so overwhelming: so many appointments, doctors, information, and procedures in so little time. Have a friend, your partner, or family member go with you so they grasp the info you may not recall or they can ask questions that you won't think to ask. This has helped me and my friend is in healthcare so she knows the right questions to ask.

13 days agoEven with a notebook of questions I usually forget something my husband and I have discussed. He reminds me or just asks those questions which I truly appreciate. If you have someone who you can bring along to appointments do it.

6 days agoHi Chelle I was diagnosed Jan 5. Stage Zero. I told my oncologist that I opt for a dbl mastectomy bc I am not invested in my breast. Then I asked my Oncologist can I go on vacation then go forward with my dbl mastectomy. She said “absolutely “ I asked “now it won’t move or grow larger” she reassured me “no” Today I am on my way home from the hospital had a dbl mastectomy I have 4 drains and a fighting spirit. Now more than ever I will encourage ppl to get their annual mammograms like I did.
