I had 14 rounds of radiation and ended end of May. Does anyone else have very tender breast? We are putting off my mammogram until January becomes the thought of having them squeezed is terrifying

Breast tenderness after radiation is a common experience that many in this community can relate to. It's completely understandable to feel concerned about upcoming mammograms when dealing with sensitivity, and discussing the timing with your healthcare team can help ensure you're comfortable when the time comes. Others here have likely navigated similar concerns and may have helpful insights to share about managing post-radiation effects.

Yes, I still have breast tenderness - 9 months after surgery. I just had first mammogram sixth months after the end of radiation and it was fine. The thought of it was 😩 but ended up being tolerable.
