How can I improve brain fog and focus after cancer treatment?

I am struggling mentally with everything. I am on Letrozole, Ogivry, and Eligard and over the past year I have been through it all. Chemo, radiation, surgery. I am having an inner battle trying to be back to normal and my brain just isnt letting me. I am a banker and I need that executive functioning. What can I do? Do I need to get a different job or what can I do?

Brain fog and trouble focusing after cancer treatment, often called "chemo brain," are common concerns that many people in the breast cancer community talk about, and they can feel especially hard when a job demands sharp thinking. Bringing these changes to the care team can help in finding the right support, such as a referral for cognitive rehabilitation, and it may be worth waiting for that guidance before making big decisions about work. Other members are welcome to share what has helped with focus, memory, and getting back into a work routine after treatment.

Hi Sarah All of it is very stressful plus your body is adjusting to medications. Have you thought about taking a leave of absence to focus on you? I did and it really helped me calibrate. I am also in banking and it’s good to disconnect for a bit. Take care of yourself!

I wish I could take a leave of absence. I could, but I also have no other income so I wouldnt be able to pay my bills. I live in Kansas and I dont make much.
