Hi I was diagnosed with stage 2 invasive lobular carcinoma no lymph node involvement, in November 2022, in January 24 I had a bilateral mastectomy and Feb 17 am went back in to remove more skin to improve margins. The pathology results from the mastectomy showed the cancer invaded the skin so what at first looked like I wasn’t going to need radiation or Chemo now has changed to radiation for sure Chemotherapy maybe still waiting on oncologist to make decision

Treatment plans can shift when pathology results reveal new information, and while these changes can feel overwhelming, many people successfully navigate radiation and chemotherapy when they become necessary. The medical team will carefully evaluate all factors to determine the best path forward for your specific situation. This community understands how challenging it can be when treatment expectations change, and there are many here who have walked similar paths who may share their experiences and support.
