I am almost done with my radiation treatment. Has anyone who has had radiation experience their skin peeling?

Skin changes during radiation are quite common, and many people in this community have shared similar experiences. It's great that you're almost finished with treatment - that's a significant milestone! Others here have found it helpful to share their skin care tips and experiences, so this could be a valuable discussion for everyone going through or considering radiation treatment.

Yes. I continued applying organic coconut oil, organic calendula oil, and organic aloe Vera. I developed outfits that were not obvious that I wasn’t wearing a bra for when I was in public, and just hung out in oversized cotton shirts or topless as often as possible. If I had to wear a bra, I used cotton gauze on the raw parts. It’s going to take a few weeks for it to stop peeling. Take it as easy as you can.

Same here. It took until the end of the treatment period to start to peel. My dr gave me mometasone (prescription steroid cream) and also had me use zinc oxide and calendula cream. I found the zinc oxide to be the most helpful. And I also just wore loose clothes for a few weeks. It gets better!

Yes, skin peeling is part of it, I bought those sports bras that close in the front in a bigger size, and that has worked for me. My skin got better but the pain is still there. 😢
