How do you cope with extreme fatigue during stage 4 colon cancer?

I’ve had what you’re gonna have and I handled it for. In fact, I just did it the second time 10 years after the first time I did that chemo. I have a port and I get a pump every two weeks with seven hours of chemotherapy every other Wednesday. For me the most difficult thing is sitting in that chair for 7 1/2 hours without visitors, I’m bored to death.

Im so sorry that there is no one to go with you during your long treatments. Im very blessed in that part, I have several people who volunteer to go set with me. I always feel guilty asking them tho, I dont like setting there for 5 hours, why should they!?! Im sorry youre going thru this nightmare for a second time. I had uterine cancer when I was much younger but I was very lucky and it was contained to the female parts thats could all be removed and I didn't have any treatments after. However I did get a bad skin cancer on my nose 14 years later which left a pretty nice scar. But it is what it is. Now here I am 12 years after that with colon cancer. But this time my old family doctor ( yes shes been replaced) ignored my complaints for over a year, I begged to see a specialist because of the severe pelvic/lower back pain every day. Took over a year and being nasty to get her to finally approve it. Here we are...but its already spread to my abdominal wall. Im coming up on round 4 of chemo and its not agreeing with me at all. Been to the ER twice. Its pure HELL. I fell like the chemo is trying to kill me. Im going to beg the doc Monday to cut my dose back alittle to see if that helps any. I cant eat, Ive lost 30lbs, Ill be walking and just cant lift my feet for a minute. My fingers swell huge and I cant use them for 5 days. The worst was last treatment my throat was raw, I couldn't talk for 8 days, I lost 7lbs this past 2 weeks. Well Ive vented enough. Im saying a prayer for you🩷 I wish you the best.
