Has anyone tried Orajel mouth rinse for chemo-induced mucositis?

Hi I am currently taking a regimen of Keytruda, Avastin, and Taxol which has led me to develop severe mucositis. Has anyone used Orajel mouth rinse for sores? A fellow warrior I met at my infusion center swears by it. Let me know if you have used it and what results you got. So far I have tried: magic mouthwash wash, baking soda and warm water rinses, Kenalog, nystatin and dexamethasone swish and swallow, viscous lidocaine, and I’m waiting on a prescription for Carafate and water slurry. I am desperate but don’t want to stop my meds because they are working! Any information would be greatly appreciated.💙🙏🏽💙

I just had a reoccurance and I will be having a secondary debulking surgery with a hipec procedure. Then I will be getting targeted therapy with Elahere. Anyone go through this? I am nervous because I work from home and Elahere can cause blurry eyes.

What is watchful waiting like for rare ovarian cancer?

DL

Hi ladies, I have a very rare ovarian cancer, a metastatic Brenner's tumor that has encompassed my right ureter, Diagnosed 9/25. Since Brenner's tumors are so rare, there isn't much information regarding treatments. It's treated as a low grade serous epithelial ovarian cancer - 6 carbo-taxol infusions, and typically debulking surgery in between (3/3). Unfortunately, for me surgery nor radiation is an option. I had the 6 infusions and am "done" but not NED now and likely will never be. I've seen 5 oncologist specialists (4 surgical) at Moffitt Cancer Hospital in addition to my local oncologist, and each one has given me the same answer, Watchful waiting...scans every 3 months and my cancer is stable. Has anyone else out there had a similar experience with your ovarian cancer?

Will severe joint pain and side effects from Keytruda get better?

I’ve had one infusion of Keytruda and it has all but crippled me. Joint pain, gout and general misery. Will this last? I don’t think I can take much more. Taking NSAIDS, pain killers, using ice, etc Will it stop?
