Community Member
5 days agoI have stage II bladder cancer that has grown into the bladder muscle. My doctor has talked to me about cystectomy (bladder removal surgery) as a treatment option. This would completely remove my bladder, and the surgeon would create a new way for my body to store and pass urine. I may also receive drug treatments before or after surgery. I'm trying to learn more about what this experience is like from people who have been through it. If you've had a cystectomy for similar bladder cancer, I'd really appreciate hearing about your journey. • What was your recovery like after cystectomy surgery? • What do you wish you had known before going through this treatment?

How do others handle docetaxel chemo side effects?
Community Member
a month agoI have metastatic bladder cancer and I'm starting docetaxel chemotherapy. My oncology team explained that this medication works by stopping cancer cells from dividing and growing. They mentioned I'll be monitored closely and may get steroids beforehand to help prevent reactions. They also told me to watch for symptoms like fever, unusual bleeding, or severe digestive problems and contact them right away if these happen. I'd love to connect with others who have been through similar treatment and hear about your experiences. • What was your day-to-day experience like on docetaxel? • What tips or strategies helped you manage during treatment?
How do you manage fatigue and driving after cancer treatments?
Community Member
2 months agoI am on the same drugs since October of 20 25. I am very tired after my treatments. Sleep most of the next day but the day after I am better. I'm still driving myself to appointments but I do not drive the day of my treatment and the day after because I don't know how I would react. Just me trying to be cautious.
