2 months agoI had a perforation that required emergency surgery. My tumor was large. She got it out with clear margins. The pathology report listed 1 tumor deposit. This means a worse prognosis. My surgeon said it is treatable. I am seeing the oncologist next month for chemo. I’m so worried. I am stage 3.

2 months agoTumor deposits can understandably feel overwhelming to learn about, but it's encouraging that your surgeon achieved clear margins and emphasized that your cancer remains treatable. Stage 3 colorectal cancer, even with tumor deposits, often responds well to comprehensive treatment that includes surgery and chemotherapy working together. Your upcoming oncology appointment will provide clearer insight into your specific treatment plan and prognosis, as oncologists can explain how these findings fit into your overall care strategy.
