During a Mohs surgery consultation, the plastic surgeon will typically explain the procedure, examine the area, and discuss treatment options and timeline. It's completely normal to feel overwhelmed when facing unfamiliar medical terms and procedures - many community members have shared similar feelings about their initial consultations. Consider writing down questions beforehand and asking the surgeon to explain anything that's unclear, as understanding your treatment plan can help ease some of the anxiety around the process.

Hi Janet. Where is your melanoma located Did they do any testing to determine rate of growth. Do they think you will need to check lymph node spread. ??

Take one step at a time. It sometimes seems to take forever to get all The pieces together to find out exactly what you are dealing with. Tests and wait for results etc hopefully the mohs surgery will get it done and they won’t need to look for more good luck
