How do I handle family pressure about unproven cancer treatments?

I know what I think in my head but my heart is so confused. I was diagnosed with CLL this summer with unmutated IGHV so as far as I understand, it is a slow growing cancer with one unfavorable marker possibly making it more aggressive. good / bad ... What can I say to my adult son who insists I take ivermectin, a horse dewormer medicine. He thinks it is a cure for any cancer and I really don't trust it and want to follow what the doctor says. At the same time, my just as stubborn husband, insists I don't take it. Besides trying to live with my diagnose, I am fighting this battle of opinions.

What should I expect from bone marrow or stem cell transplant?

I have been diagnosed with AML in July 4 months ago. I have done 3 sets of chemo 7 days a week with 3 weeks breaks in between each session. I am now to start transplant either bone marrow or stem cells. Please what to expect? Thanks

I read about a study comparing Jaypirca (pirtobrutinib) with Imbruvica (ibrutinib) in people with CLL/SLL. It found pirtobrutinib worked at least as well at shrinking disease, with fewer heart rhythm problems. My regimen includes Calquence (acalabrutinib) with Venclexta (venetoclax) and Gazyva (obinutuzumab), which the study didn't test. How do I cope with CLL anxiety while on watch and wait?

I was diagnosed with CLL 2 years ago November and am on watch and wait with no treatment. I would have preferred not to have been diagnosed until I became sick because having this hanging over your head when you're feeling normal is very anxiety producing. I wish I had not been diagnosed until I had some symptoms but it was discovered in a routine blood test. Knowing what's coming but taking no actions to avoid it makes me crazy! watch and wait should be called watch and dread!

How do I manage Burkinsa side effects and what are my options?

I was diagnosed with leukemia CLL in November 2025 and started on Burkinsa. Side effects were not very good and the doctor has removed me from taking it. So right now I’m not on anything. Had blood work done on Friday for the first time after stopping and I see her this next week. I’m concerned with how the blood work has turned out because I was diagnosis stage 3/4 and was told I was high risk. Anybody else having side effects with this drug? And what did your doctor do about it?
