How can I manage fatigue during liver radiation treatment?

Quick check in... I started radiation treatment on the two tumors on my liver. One is 1 cm the 2nd one is 4 cm. I've had the 3rd treatment and have 2 more to go. The biggest side effect has been fatigue. Incredible lack of energy. After the last one (#3 yesterday), I had some nausea and appetite loss. Overall, I feel like I'm doing pretty well.

What can I expect from chemo side effects as treatments continue?

Colon cancer in 2023. Surgery Dec 2023 followed by oral chemo in 2024. Cancer free for 1 year until metastasized to liver. Had tumor 1.2 cm removed and in chemo treatments. Completed 3 of 13 planned infusions. 3rd one got to me with several mouth sores making it had to eat plus fatigue. I’m wondering how the side effects will progress in terms of timing and degree?

Why am I so fatigued after Y90 and before ablation?

Hi again! I had a successful Y90 done 3/13/26 on a 3cm tumor. I had a 1cm tumor that disappeared and I was feeling good about that and trying to be positive, but my follow up MRI in July shows a 16mm tumor in the other lobe of my liver, and I am having a Microwave Ablation on that on 3/11. I am feeling really fatigued lately too. I had a successful Reverse Shoulder Replacement Surgery done on 7/6, and my shoulder doesn't hurt anymore, so that's good, right? I am just anxious to get this new tumor taken care of, because of the fatigue and lack of energy. All I feel like doing is sleeping!

How can I trust remission if there was no surgery or treatment?

I had a tumor for year the hepatologist says i'm in remission after my last abdominal MRI..I 'VE HAD cancer three different times.So i'm wary because I didn't see the images..I'm worried because there was no surgery or laser ablation.It's just hard to be trustworthy or feel completely positive..just so exhausted

How do I cope with cancer progression after so much treatment?

Colon cancer in 2013 , hemicolectomy and in remission until 2024 when liver metastasis found . 6 months of chemo , liver resection and ablation , insertion hai pump. Had 3 rounds of chemo in pump then stopped due to elevated liver enzymes. Have had multiple rounds of different chemo for liver , lung and brain mets since then . Last cycles were carboplatin, etoposide and immunotherapy. Despite all this I have disease progression in liver , lung and biliary stones with stenosis and am jaundice . Had ERCP and liver function still elevated . Supposed to start different immunotherapy in 2 weeks . Down and depressed.

How do I cope with metastatic cancer after initial remission?

Hello, started with squamous cell cancer of throat 1 yr ago . After 34 radiation and 5 chemo using carbospatin, Taxol and 5 fu pills 1’week on 1 week off it was cure ! 3 months later a pet scan showed Mets to liver and bone ! Now doing katura, Carbo and 5fu Anyone with similar situation? Ty. Ed

What is life expectancy after HCC diagnosis with and without treatment?

I was diagnosed with HCC one month ago and was given 4 to 6 months without treatment or 1 to 3 years to live with treatment which was supposed be Immunotherapy since then my treatment has been changed to tablets this is due to blood clotting and my heart condition. I never started my immunotherapy and due to start my tablets this week. I have felt fine up to very recently and used to walk 10-12k steps per day but now I can only manage 2-3k steps without resting, my legs are a little swollen but not too bad, is this lack in energy normal for my stage of liver cancer?

How long is too long to wait between cancer treatments?

My name is Stephan and I am a cancer patient with Hepatocelluar Carcinoma. I was diagnosed in December of 2023 after having had a heart attack. Went thru a liver resection and an ablation think this would take care of it only to be told months later that the cancer has reappeared in my lungs and spine. I was doing an immunotherapy which has been stopped because it was too much for my liver. Now I am awaiting the DanaFarber people to come e ip with a new treatment plan, but it has been 7 months since my last treatment and I am getting very afraid that we are waiting to long. Simply feel lost
