5 months agoHad a fecal transplant (clinical trial) related to side effects of Immunotherapy for (Stage 4) Malignant Melanoma which caused Micro Colitis? Immunotherapy has been stopped until Colitis is under control Which we hope transplant will help. Only had 1 and 1/2 treatments of Immunotherpay (had to stop mid way of second Infusion due to side effects from the Infusion.) Anyone have positive things to offer related to fecal transplant?? How long until you started to see any benefit? Thanks, Lynn

Fecal microbiota transplantation is an emerging treatment being studied for immune-related colitis caused by cancer immunotherapy, and it's encouraging that clinical trials are exploring this option. Many patients in similar situations find it helpful to connect with others who have experience with both immunotherapy side effects and newer treatments like FMT, so hopefully some community members can share their experiences and timeline of benefits they may have noticed.

4 months agoHi Lynn! I hope someone in the community answers soon with first hand experience. This is such exciting and hopeful research and I am praying for the absolute best outcome for you. Thank you for participating in a clinical trial and helping so many people. Please keep us posted on how things are going for you. What is the name of your clinical trial? 💛 Suzanne (Community Moderator)

2 months agoI've had two infusions so far. Fatigue and both times my side effects were different but they went away. So far my blood work is showing signs immunotherapy is working. Keep positive and light exercise to keep endorphins up. Sometimes I get sad and have to get up early n start moving around, sometimes yell at my husband to get it off my chest!
