How do I manage back and belly pain with pancreatic cancer?
Community Member
3 days agoI was recently diagnosed with pancreatic adenocarcinoma and I'm experiencing both back pain and abdominal pain. I learned that these are common symptoms many people with pancreatic cancer have, especially early on after diagnosis. The pancreas sits deep in the abdomen near the spine, so pain can show up in both places like I'm experiencing. I'm working with my healthcare team on treatment planning and pain management. I'd love to connect with others who have been through something similar and hear about your experiences. • What has your pain management journey looked like with pancreatic cancer? • Are there any comfort measures or daily routines that have helped you cope with back and abdominal pain?
How can I better manage pancreatic cancer pain?
Community Member
6 days agoI am having a EUC biopsy tomorrow. I have a large mass in the body of my pancreas with sky high CA 19-9 antigen- liver enzymes normal. My biggest issue now is the pain. What are some good regimens to manage the pain- I am using Tylenol and Tramadol- 3-4 tablets per day. I find that it does not control the pain and if I had better control I may feel better. Any suggestions?

How can I manage stomach cramping when using the bathroom?
Community Member
a month agoHi. My name is David. I'm from Fresno, California. Recently been told I have pancreatic cancer. Just waiting for the biopsy to be done. I'm currently in the Hospital. Haven't started any type of plans yet. They said they can't operate because the mass is surrounded with blood vessels and my intestines. They said it's too dangerous. I'm scared. I dont want to leave my kids. But with all the pain I'm having. It feels like it's spreading. Every time I have to go to the bathroom my stomach starts cramping up. Does anyone have any advice on what I can take to help me use the bathroom without cramping up. Or any other advice about dealing with this cancer. It would be greatly appreciated. 😔

a month agoHell my name is Richard I am from Louisville Kentucky I first contacted pancreatic cancer in 2021 of June it was Stage 4th and I also tested positive for the cancer gene called the Lynch Syndrome and I went on Immunotherapy and for 4 years I took a 30 min dose and I had no set back until April 2025 and by August I had what my oncologist thought was a cyst after a MRI couldn’t make it out in April. Fast forward to August the cyst turned out to be another Tumor that blocked my bile duct and immunotherapy wouldn’t work chemotherapy didn’t work I found a trial that seems to be doing the job for now, I hope my story gives someone encouragement, I was 61 years old when I found out that I had stage four pancreatic cancer and at the age of 64 when it appeared on the head of my pancreas it originally was found on the tail that pain was unbelievable but this time I’ve had no pain.

a month agoHi my name is Kathy I am 54 diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in December 2024. I was originally told I would start chemo and in six months they would do surgery and remove the tail end of my pancreatious. They went and did exploratory surgery and then I was told that my cancer has reached my abdominal wall so now surgery is out of the question. I now have stage 4 cancer. I was told in June 2025 that I had only 12 months.

6 days agoMy name is John, I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2017, I was 1b at that time, I had wippled surgery done, I have been going through a lot over the years. I had a pet scan done on the 19 of May , it shows the cancer has spread to my Abdoma aorta, I have two nodules the first one is 2.5 cm and the second one is 3.5 cm, also in the remaining of my pancreas on the head a 1.5 cm tumor. I am fatigued a lot and my stomach is killing me, they’re making me wait until the 10th of July to see the GI doctor for a chemo alition , I don’t think that’s going to be good for me, I think that it’s continuing to spread
