How do I manage severe intestinal pain after my first pancreatic cancer chemo?

53, Caucasian female with a 12mm x 15.9mm mass at the head of my pancreas causing the duct to be dilated and obstructed. This was found after an acute pancreatitis episode where the hospital staff was attempting to prove my gallbladder was causing symptoms. I had a biopsy, they found "Adenocarcinoma, mildly differentiated" on February 4th, 2026. I had a celiac block done on Feb. 6th I have had a few barriers to getting chemo started, I have an open wound from a surgical procedure from Feb. 4th, and just had my first treatment on Thursday Feb. 26th. I thought I was managing chemo side effects fairly well, but am struggling with how terribly my intestines feel. Anything I eat feels like I have swallowed glass. Im not having diarrhea or vomiting but my guts hurt, even though I have a pain block.

Should I Consider Whipple Surgery at My Age?

Repeat of weeks ago: Please include your age in your posts. Age is an important factor in understanding your situation in deciding options. At age 86 I was offered Whipple surgery. I rejected it. However, had I been age 70 I would have elected to undergo the complex surgery.

Should I do chemo for stage 3 pancreatic cancer or focus on comfort care?

I am and have stage three pancreatic cancer on the duct that is inoperable because it’s wrapped around an artery. It’s gone to my lymph nodes and my veins. One of my daughters wants me to research treatment. Specifically chemo. She is for it. I am against it. I just wanna be comfortable in the 3 to 6 months I have left. Thoughts?

Is it wrong to want death with dignity during advanced pancreatic cancer?

I was diagnosed July 27th my pancreatic cancer is now in my liver lungs lymph nodes and bones, is it wrong for me to want to die with dignity, I had the nerve block done twice but I just can't handle this sickness...Drs. did another ct scan and found my pancreas has not changed and some of the spots on my liver have gotten smaller, but so has my will to live. I don't eat at all, no hunger. Diabetic......just want it done

How to prevent bile duct stent blockage after infection?

I have bile duct stent implanted 3 months ago. Now, I had infection due to blockage in the stent. So, I had another ERCP to clear the blockage and replace the stent. Does anyone experience the similar situation? And how to prevent future blockage?
