Is a transperineal prostate biopsy painful? General vs local anesthesia?

Hello has anyone gone through transperineal fusion ultrasound biospy ? Im scheduled for one in a few weeks does the travel through the perineal to the prostate a painful feeling would you recommend general or local anesthesia ?
