What's it like taking hormone therapy for recurrent prostate cancer?

2 hours agoI have recurrent prostate cancer and my doctor has prescribed leuprolide as hormone therapy. From what I understand, this medication works by lowering testosterone levels to help control the cancer cells that depend on testosterone to grow. I'm preparing for possible side effects like hot flashes, fatigue, and decreased interest in sex. I'm also aware that long-term use might affect my heart and bones, so I'll need monitoring.
I'd really appreciate hearing from others who have been through similar treatment. Your experiences and any practical tips would mean a lot to me.
