How do you feel when your oncology team is pleased with treatment results?

My oncology team is pleased with the results of the 3 years of treatments. As am I.

Why am I in constant pain during cancer treatment?

My oncologist can’t understand why I’m in so much pain 80% of the time had me go back to my rheumatologist found out I also have rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia. Can’t get into pain management until May 6 I just want to be out of pain and have some normal in my life. Radiation starts May 4

What treatment options should I consider for widespread leiomyosarcoma at 44?

I was recently diagnosed with high grad widespread non uterine Leiomyosarcoma. I started thinking had a pituitary tumor that they were unable to safely remove and pathology came back as LMS PET scan came back showing primary tumor was in thigh but I also have in other thigh, stomach, lungs, thyroid, back, several other soft tissue areas plus still brain tumor of course. Trying to figure out what I want to do treatment wise as my doctors have pretty much said I am palliative care at this point. I am 44 years old and this has been such a struggle to try to decide how aggressive/sick I want to be.

How do you cope with severe pain while waiting for sarcoma diagnosis?

Was diagnosed with sarcoma a tumor was found in my abdomen in March waiting on a second pathology report to try to determine what type the waiting game is long and the left side pain is unbearable

Anyone else tried Doxil and Yondelis for leiomyosarcoma? Scared of side effects

Hello I am looking for others that have leiomyosarcoma. I just completed 3 months of immunotherapy. It did not work and things grew larger. The doctor wants me to start chemo with the drugs Doxil first, and then yondelis. I am scared to death to be vomiting with nausea. He has told me I will get very sick with yondelis. Anyone who has dealt with these meds please let me know how it was. Thanks Eleanor

Hello all, Anyone been diagnosed with Desmoplastic small round tumor? I'm told it mostly affects men but it made an exception for me.

Has anyone had hypofractionated radiation for sarcoma instead of standard treatment?

I had a soft tissue sarcoma mass surgically removed from my leg. The skin grafts are now being done. After 4 weeks I begin radiation. My question is has anyone been given "hypofractionated" radiation vs. the standard radiation treatment? From what I have been able to research the hypofractionated method substantially reduces the number and time of treatments.

Has anyone tried Ifosfamide and Etoposide chemo for soft tissue sarcoma?

Anybody with soft cell Sarcoma have experience with this chemo regiment: Ifosfamide 10 g/m² and Etoposide 400 mg/m² in divided doses over 5 days

How do you find hope when sarcoma returns after treatment?

I have been in a sarcoma battle since last March. Myofixial sarcoma high grade. Tumor removed last fall after 25 radiation sessions. Located in left wrist. Had clean scans up since surgery. However a new tumor was found by yours truly about 3 weeks ago, marble size on same arm at the midpoint and removed this last Friday. The journey is tough. Clinging to my faith. Radiation to once again be employed. Looking for brighter days with my wife and three teenage children.
