How to successfully apply for Social Security Disability with stage IV cancer?

I was diagnosed with the Ultra rare Stage IV Alveolar Soft Part Sarcoma, ASPS. Thus far, treatment with Keytruda appears to be offering durable results with minimal side effects that are manageable. I am looking for anyone who may have pointers for me, if you have has “successfully” navigated the Social Security Disability application process surrounding a stage IV cancer diagnosis.

Has anyone else been diagnosed with metastatic ASPS sarcoma?

I was diagnosed November 2024 with an Ultra rare form of Metastatic Alveolar Soft Part Sarcoma, (ASPS). At the time of biopsy 12/14 the disease had spread from my left buttock to my Iliac crest, both lungs, and later my brain and right forearm. I underwent High dose, targeted Radiation on the brain, targeted Radiation of the hip and was also placed on Immunotherapy, via Keytruda. I am currently still under the care of an amazing Oncology Team at TN Oncology, and still fighting strong with mild side effects and showing durable health. I would love to know if anyone out there is facing my same challenge.

Is lung spread common after leg sarcoma surgery?

I had sarcoma in my leg which was removed by surgery. My surgeon is concerned about my lungs now. I'm scared 😳

Is pinpoint radiation safe for inoperable soft tissue sarcoma?

Has anyone ever had soft tissue sarcoma that can't be surgicaly removed. Or is pinpoint target radiation very safe

Seeking Patient Experiences with Ivermectin for Sarcoma Treatment

Diagnosed with UPS Sarcoma Undileniated Polymorphic Sarcoma Excuse the possible spelling errors. Dr's are planning combination Chemo and Immune therapy. This will be through some National Trials. I am personally trying to get some patient ideas on adding Ivermectin to my treatment regimen. Have you used it, did it help you? Would love to hear what dosages and what frequencies seemed to work best.

My Journey with Myxofibrosarcoma: Treatment and Follow-up

I had myxofibrosarcoma eight years ago. Had surgery X3 for clear margins and 27 radiation applications. Imaging every six months for the first five years and now annually only a CT scan. A couple more years of that. The site where the radiation was applied is what I watch. The lungs are what the doctor watch for metastasis.
