4 months agoI am fighting stage 4 squamous cell carcinoma. It started in my penis. It was fully removed. Then they discovered enlarged lymph nodes from my groin all the way up to above my stomach. They began chemo based solely on a CT scan. No biopsy except the penis. Anybody respite been diagnosed without a biopsy?
Has anyone had cancer in neck lymph nodes? Did they find the primary?

What should I do about fast-spreading squamous cell cancer on my face?

4 months agoI had a squamish biopsy over a year ago and was given a cream. Now a year later after a course of penicillin a big tumor popped out on my cheek surprising dentist who referred me to dermatologist and biopsied another squamish. I chose Gentle Cure as my sister lost her entire nose to Moh's. But hassle with insurance and delays to begin treatment leave me concerned as to fast spread which i sm told squ a mish is known for.
What do you do when cancer comes back unexpectedly?

9 months agoStunned! Today was my follow up appointment with my ENT after my second pet-scan. As I was sitting in the waiting area I started writing down the things that I’m thankful for, since Thanksgiving is just a few days away. I thought it would be appropriate and I was confident that I would get a clean bill of health. While still writing I was called in to see the doctor, when the doctor came in he started talking to me about my last visit. Things had looked good and there was some inflammation. I mentioned to him that my second pet-scan was done along with labs.In case he didn’t know. He said he didn’t know and would look them up. So he left the room for a few minutes, and returned with some news that I was not prepared for. He told me that the pet-scan showed that the cancer was growing. He told me that he did not want to wait and watch, that he would contact my insurance company and arrange for a biopsy as soon as possible. Needless to say I was stunned! It was like the first time when I was told that I had cancer. I had been feeling good, eating healthy and exercising, I was feeling normal again, so this came as a real shock to me. I don’t know what to think or say, other than I am stunned by the news!

My Journey with Rare Eye Cancer

5 months agoI had a squamous cell carcinoma on my eyeball! It took 5 years to find it. My cornea specialist found it. But it was too late. I went through 4 rounds of chemo & a round of radiation! Nothing helped. Finally I got to Dr Paul Finger. THE best ocular oncologist. 2 years ago he wanted to take out my eye! I just couldn’t do that. We tried everything. Finally on April 18 25 they took out my left eyeball out! The left side of my head has been numb ever since. Finally the numbness is dissapating. It’s just by my nose & upper lip now. The cancer is VERY rare. I couldn’t find anyone to share with. Until I found this site. I see better with one eye than 2!I drive better than before. I’m very grateful. Thanks for listening Mak Steinbock
