Hi Everyone, I had a radical hysterectomy in December 2024; my surgeon thought she got all the cancer. I was diagnosed with P53 abnormalities. I had one chemo; couldn’t tolerate the nerve pain so it was stopped. Had 5 weeks of external radiation, then 2 weeks of brachytherapy summer of 2025. I thought we were all done… Sadly, in September they found suspicious nodes in my lungs. After 1 CT scan, 2 PET scans, and 2 bronchoscopies and biopsies, they determined the cancer spread to both lungs. I’m supposed to start Keytruda and Lenvima on Friday, March 6th, 2026, and am scared to pieces. I keep reading so many can’t tolerate it. I’ve read about a ton of side effects; what have people experienced? Has anyone been able to tolerate them? Thank you all for any replies!❤️‍🩹

How do you cope when cancer treatment isn't shrinking your tumor?

I had a total hysterectomy 7 years ago today. I've been in and out of treatment since. I've been in two trials. One was a double blind for keytruda and I was getting the placebo. I did brachytherapy radiation after the surgery. The tumor is on my para aorta. I've had radiation weather time trying to shrink it because it was pressing on my back and I was having a lot of pain. I was in another trial January 2025, but had to quit because it had side effect to the lungs. When I developed some issues with it they removed me from the trial. I just had a CT and it appears to be staying the same.

How do you celebrate clear cancer scan results after years of treatment?

Got my ctDNA and pet scan results. All negative. Been a four year on off cancer. Celebrating each clear time. I'm grateful we live in times of finding ways to look and treat.

Hi, I have had endometrial stromal sarcoma for 20 years. I had a complete hysterectomy years ago. I had a tumor removed and it grew back then also a smaller area lower in my pelvis. Because of so many surgeries they don't want to remove anything else. I might end up with a colostomy bag. The small area more than doubled in size between my 6 month scans and now I'm in chemo. For years they said that wasn't an option. I feel a little confused.

The Dr. started me on Magestrol this week for uterine bleeding, on Monday I was doing dishes with my teenage son and after only a few minutes it looked like we were standing in what I can only describe as a crime scene in my kitchen. My kid didn't skip a beat he just said " I got this Mom, you go get cleaned up." Has anyone had any complications with diabetes while taking this? I'm prediabetic and I have done every diet or drug and lifestyle change short of surgery to turn it around.

I've have three clear ct scans after 4 years on off endometrial cancer in uterus,two years later in vaginal cuff , then pelvic nodes. All cleared up with chemo Keytruda not tolerated. Been in 2 studies and remain in one until I know where I stand. So now I am getting a pet scan Feb 26, and new to me blood test called ctDNA that looks for dna in blood that matches stored tumor dna. My question is has anyone used this blood test and how did it go? Getting drawn Thursday.

How do you cope with anxiety before major cancer surgery?

today's been a rough day, Monday is my surgery, complete hysterectomy, possible bladder resection, 2 Sentinel nodes, ovaries, cervix, fallopian tubes, omentum, whole 9 yards. I was diagnosed Dec 28th, my gynecologist called me on a Sunday! As I have a large tumor they can't do it vaginally so belly button down. I am a widow with a cat who won't understand where I am, my hospital is 1 1/2 hours away, my kids are taking me to hospital, I have to be there at 5:30 a.m., and now there's this freaking snow storm. I no I am overreacting, I just feel like every has spun out of control. Thank you for listening, any words of advice would be greatly appreciated.
