How to manage incontinence during chemo treatments?

5 days agotoday was Chemo #2 went smoothly, no nausea so far which is great. Unfortunately I am one of the women who after total hysterectomy develop incontinence. I am starting Vesicare which will hopefully help.
Now you'd think that someone with incontinence would have brains enough to plan ahead for floods. Did I? Did my brain ever say hey you are going to get huge bags of liquids pumped into your veins, no. I did have brains enough to take 2 pair undies and another pair of pants. But before the day was done everything, EVERYTHING, was drenched. I'm embarrassed, the nurses were so kind and actually if anyone else in the room noticed I think they were thinking about their own issues.
So I am hoping the Vesicare helps and I have 2 other things my doctor wants me to try. Kegels and bladder training. Good times.
So if your had a bad say remember you are not alone. We will beat this. And hopefully I will stop peeing all over. All I know is it's a good thing I have a lot of underwear.
Hope your day was better than mine.
