What should I expect after hysterectomy following breast cancer?

After surviving breast cancer (chemo, lumpectomy, radiation, meds, worked through all this)2016 was ok kind of. At 71 yrs young 😄, in 2024 got a period again! PCP did a test, referred to gyn, had a not so good feeling of results. Gyn made a referral to oncology even before giving me the result, loved it! Gyn/oncologist agreed with me on total hysterectomy. Been fine since, but always researching on information & probabilities of future ones. Trying to enjoy everyday my family specially my great-gkids.😄

Was anyone with Stage 1a Grade 1 cancer advised treatment after surgery?

Hi. Is there anyone here who was diagnosed with Stage 1a Grade 1 after the surgery? Were you advised for any treatment?

Anyone else have endometrial cancer with LVI findings after hysterectomy?

Hi everyone! I just joined this group. I was diagnosed with endometrial cancer August 2025 by my OBGYN after a Pap smear biopsy came back positive. Was referred to a gyn-oncologist and had total robotic-laparoscopic hysterectomy in October. My pathology report came back with zero malignancy in both ovaries and fallopian tubes as well 14 sentinel lymph nodes. Less than 50% myometrial and stromal invasion. The only concern I have as well as the radiologist-oncologist is the “suggestion of LVI single focus”. I haven’t decided on radiation and brachytherapy yet. Btw, my cancer is stage 2c. Anyone here has similar findings as me? I wish everyone well and good health this 2026. Prayers for us all.

What to expect with brachytherapy after radiation for vaginal cuff recurrence?

I just finished 5 weeks of radiation therapy for endometrial cancer. Had hysterectomy 2 yrs ago but a tumor came back on my vaginal cuff. Have to go for a mri in couple weeks to see if hopefully tumor shrunk. Then after 1st of yr going to Mass general hospital in Boston for a couple more treatments of brachytherapy. Which I am nervous about. Has anyone else gone through that. Would appreciate if you could tell me what to expect. My prayers are with all who are going through cancer. Stay strong. ❤️

What questions should I ask my oncologist at my first appointment?

Im preparing for my first visit with my oncologist. I know there are questions I should be asking him but I don't what it is. I guess I'm still feeling kinda numb or like its not real.

How to stay positive through multiple endometrial cancer recurrences?

Hi all. Sorry you are all going through this. I'm a 4 year survivor. March 22 at 64 abnormal bleeding. Endometrial stage 3/4 found and surgery April 18, 22. Was in study to allow Keytruda vs chemo and placibo. Had 6 chemo rounds and clear scans. Two years of clear. Now two more occurrences. Surgery vaginal wall, then clear with Keytruda and Lenvima fall 24 After a month liver enzymes bad. Long break until liver recovered. Spring of 25 Then scan and third recurrence. Lenvima again tried and not tolerated. In another study July 25 and weekly low dose taxol almost done with no sign of cancer currently. I'm feeling no pain ever and stay positive. I just know it's one day at a time.

Is trace pelvic fluid normal after hysterectomy and radiation for endometrial cancer?

I was diagnosed with Stage 1b Endometrial Cancer. I had a complete hysterectomy and 28 radiation treatments in the pelvic area. I had my first CT scan and my radiation Oncologist said it came back normal. Is it normal to have some trace free fluid seen in the pelvic superior to the urinary bladder, with a tiny focus of fluid seen between the urinary bladder and an adjacent bowel loop?

What do I do when stage 4 endometrial cancer stops responding to treatment?

I was diagnosed in January 2025 with stage 4 endometrial cancer at 53. Always healthy and exercised regularly. I knew something was wrong for years. They attributed my enlarged uterus to fibroids. Well 6 chemo treatments later, no option for surgery after multiple opinions, and now on immunotherapy. My CA125 went way down to normal levels after chemo but now they're creeping back up and I'm feeling worse and worse. I changed oncologist in September and am happy with him. I pray and have faith but I am scared. It's not even a year and I feel emotionally exhausted not to mention physically wiped out. My fear is to go to the ER and never leave. What's even scarier is that the general Healthcare in my area is terrible. I'm thankful my oncologist figured out I had a bile duct blockage and referred me to a specialist not in the area back in September. I'm now experiencing stomach distension and I'm praying another treatment option is for that will work and save my life.

How can I find comfort and peace when facing end of life?

Can someone help me with this . For my life is ending and I have only one wish. To be comfortable when I die.
