Good day fellow warriors! Diagnosed Jan 2024 with stage 4 squamous cell carcinoma anal cancer. No warning but some blood in stool. Colonoscopy revealed egg size tumor and Mets to lymph nodes and liver. I was advised terminal 6-9 months:( 9 chemo treatments, 20+ immunotherapy treatments, and recent 2nd y90 treatment to liver tumor. BUTT here I am month 27 after diagnosis! Damn HPV . I am 66 and did not see this coming but staying informed and positive for this journey. Keep up the fight and kick cancer’s ass!

Hi Dave. You are same age as me and who knew about hpv when we were young and carefree!! Good for you and congratulations for defeating the odds. You will be my inspiration💝💝 I was just diagnosed and am nervous about the treatment. BUTT, do you have any wisdom to share for dealing with treatment? I am stage 2 waiting for results of tests to determine beyond that. I start chemo/ radiation Monday.

If any one has the option to do Proton radiation over reg. It is way less invasive and Medicare pays for it. I was days away from treatment when I learned about it. Dr's don't tell you about it. It has been around for 30 years. Centers all across the US I went to Calif proton center Dan Diego. The mostly treat children brain cancer and prostate. My doctor doesn't understand why more don't use it.

I was diagnosed last week with invasive squamous cell carcinoma. Had blood in my stool & had a colonoscopy. It’s not anywhere else in my body & was caught early. Could have been caught earlier, when I saw my first trace of blood but due to the doctor wrenching my lower back out at my last colonoscopy I swore to never have another one but knew I would have to after realizing the blood wasn’t stopping. Ended up in the ER w/a slight fever & had to let the cat out of the bag. Was bleeding for probably 8 months or so. Sent to a surgeon who did the colonoscopy. Woke up to him talking w/my son. Hearing words like “liver,” “radiation,” “chemo,” “MRI,” & “CT scan.” Got the CT scan that day, had a spinal cord stimulator implanted the next morning(I wasn’t really thinking cancer but maybe polyps or roids). I have spinal injuries from a car crash at 17. I’m 65. Pain management said it’s a good thing I didn’t know beforehand or they wouldn’t have been able to implant the stimulator for fear of disturbing the “cancer.” Had the MRI same day. Surgeon called the next day to tell me what I had. I had already seen the pics of it in my chart online. It sure is an ugly booger lol. Looks like a cocoon. I’m convinced that cancer IS parasites from the pics alone. The plan is to shrink it then cut it out. If it keeps growing into my sphincter muscle I will have to have a colostomy bag & that ain’t happening lol. I have appts next week with radiation & chemo docs. I’ll know more then. I also & maybe only want to go a holistic route or use Ivermectin, Fenbendazole & Menbendazole. All proven to cure cancer. The holistic route would be things like black seed oil, wormwood & other various herbs. Who knows, I may go down all three routes OR none at all. I’m tired. I’ve been fighting chronic pain issues, surgeries and anxiety & depression for over 40 years, I’m sole caregiver for my 90 year old mother & because I’ve done this she gave me her house after she passes away. It’s just a double-wide trailer, not worth $100k with $50k still owing on it. I, in turn am giving it to my son. He will be the one who will be making payments on it so why not just go ahead & leave it to him right? My middle sister was going to get it even tho my mom wanted me to have it all along but being disabled there’s no way, at the time, that I could have afforded to live in it so she put my middle sister’s name on it. Now said sister is all PO’d along with her children saying I am holding my mom hostage which is nowhere near the truth. I was here for 3 years before she decided to change everything. My sister says I have my mom thinking I will leave her to go into a senior facility if she doesn’t give me the house. Umm, I’ve been here everyday for 3 yrs & the house going to said sister & haven’t left. She’s crazy. Lol. Anyway, I’m tired, I have no life at all being in bed all the time due to chronic pain, no friends. I’m ready to go to my eternal home w/my Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. But, I suppose my son still needs me in some way even tho when my mom passes he is moving in with his gf somewhere & I will go back to being alone all the time in my apt. I feel like since I am the only daughter(there’s 3, I am the baby) that’s been here for my mom & was also there for her husband for years at the senior facility when NO ONE, including my mother, wasn’t. 3 days a week I was there. I was holding his hand and mine was the last face he saw before he passed away. I feel like I deserve the house! She wanted me to have from day one anyway. Point being that side of my family is PO’d. Feeling so wronged. I honestly don’t care. My oldest sister is not AS PO’d. Thing is is this place needs a ton of work & with $50k still owing there’s not going to be any money for anyone to split or anything. I would live here but I really don’t make a lot being on SSI & I have a really cute apt in a complex with nothing but old people like me. Everyone I met is so nice. I just can never get away from my mom to stay there. I’ve stayed maybe four nights since I moved in in February. My manager is nice & understands I need to be here for my mom. If another manager happens to take over they may not be as nice & they may tell me if I don’t stay there I will have to move out. It’s only five minutes away but mom acts like it’s hours. She is able to take care of herself physically and if she wasn’t there’s no way I could with my spine conditions. I’ve made up my mind(hopefully lol) that when my son & his gf get back from their vacation I am going to be spending more nights at my apt. I NEED to. Especially now. They will need to let me know when she will be staying the night here at mom’s & on those nights I will be going to my apt. My son brought his sweet dog Griffin with him when he came shortly after I did to stay with mom who sheds SO bad I have finally thrown in the towel as far as staying on top of all the dog hair. I’ve injured my lower back even worse from the cleaning I did for over two years and I can’t do it anymore. The hair doesn’t seem to bother anyone but me but I’ve cleaned ALL my life and it’s just engrained into me that everything has to be spotless all the times. Not anymore! Ok, I’m sorry, I always do this. So much going on yet nothing is. I will close with I hope & pray everyone here is cured or will be cured of their cancers. This is all very new to me but I’m not afraid, at all. Reach out if you would like. Idk what else to say so God Bless you all & have a wonderful night! XO ♥️🙏🏼
