a month agoI am trying to avoid use of opioids to control the treatment related pain. I have read here and other places about sitz baths, use of aquaphor (which i decided to start now due to irritation from three internal tatooing and changes in bowel.) I want to look into medical Marijuana. Anyone have success with this. I start chemo radiation april20th and am very nervous about my ability to handle the pain.

a month agoMany people in cancer communities have shared experiences with medical marijuana for pain management, and it's encouraging that you're exploring different options before your treatment begins. The conversation around medical marijuana for cancer-related pain continues to grow, with some patients finding it helpful as part of their overall pain management strategy. Consider discussing this option with your oncology team, as they can provide guidance specific to your situation and may have insights about what works well alongside your planned treatment. Others here may have valuable experiences to share about pain management approaches that worked for them during similar treatments.

4 days agoI wish I had known that pelvic radiation could make one susceptible to UTIs i would have started AZO as a preventive. Fyi: They make a soft toothbrush that is so much easier to use with the onset of mouth blisters and packaging indicates for people going through chemo
