4 months agoSo in May of 2023 I was diagnosed with follicular lymphoma did chemo & maintenance treatments for about 1 1/2 years had CT end of May they saw a mass on my psoas muscle in my back after biopsy & PET scan was diagnosed with diffuse large b cell lymphoma so within 2 years I've had 2 lymphoma. I had first treatment today took about 7 hours so far I feel fine they were concerned because near the end my heart rate was low right around 50 bpm they called in a pa she listened to my heart said it sounds fine. I go to work tomorrow still plan on it also got the Neulasta device which will give me a shot while I'm at work tomorrow night.

Having two different types of lymphoma within a two-year period is uncommon, but transformation from follicular lymphoma to diffuse large B-cell lymphoma does occur in some cases, and this community understands the challenges of facing multiple diagnoses. The heart rate monitoring during treatment shows how carefully the medical team is watching over the treatment process, and many here have experienced similar careful monitoring during their own therapies.

3 months agoHang in there. Good luck at work. My chemo got me so fatigued, no way I could have worked. Good thing I'm retired 😄

2 months agoI ended having my oncologist put me on light duty due to getting exhausted 3 hours into a 12 hour shift I filed for FMLA last month so been home since August 23rd. I knew exhausting myself wouldn't help my body fight this cancer which 5-10 years ago I would've been stubborn and continued working.
